Consumer Information on the New Mortgage Broker Law

Starting July 1, 2008 all individuals and businesses who conduct mortgage brokering activities in Ontario must be licensed with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO).

If you’re planning to use the services of a Mortgage Brokerage, Administrator, Broker or Agent to arrange a mortgage, make sure the individual or business is licensed with FSCO. To learn more about why it is important to you, click on the links below.
